About Sugar Tuesday
Sugar Tuesday is an independent buying-guide site about home espresso machines, written for people buying their first one.
Maybe you're moving up from a drip maker or a pod machine. Our job is to help you pick an espresso machine that fits your counter, your budget and the drinks you like.
What we cover
We cover beginner-friendly espresso machines from brands like Breville, De'Longhi, CASABREWS, Ninja, Gaggia and Chefman. We also cover machines with a grinder built in and the separate grinders that pair well with them.
Beyond the machines, we explain the parts that trip up new owners. That means pressure, grind size, tamping, frothing milk, cleaning and descaling.
How we work
For every machine we cover, we read the specs, the manual and the maker's own details. We also look at what owners often report after living with it.

What we are not
